can somebody help please !. I have purcahse a Fluval Edge and set it up 5 Dec’10. I haven’t any fish as of yet while the tank is set up to generate the correct amonia levels etc. I have installed the heater, but the temperature doesn’t appaer to be working according to the “tab gauge” stuck on the side of the tank. The heater is hidden behaind the “zen” wall. Does anyone have idea’s as to why it semms to ge ytaking a long time to heat up to 26 degress. Thanks. Duncan

Mine is the same. Lukewarm water put into tank is now cold after 3 days and I have sent my husband back to the store with the heater. I hope my plants survive this. Nothing showing on temperature gauge – presumably the temperature isn’t high enough to show. I have a Fluval Roam 125

hi guys :) i have a fluval edge and having it for more than 1 year i can see that the heater isent that good. I make sure my lights are on for at least 4 hours a day as this gives it heat. Its not the heater fault i think i might just buy one of the new fluval heaters :)

    Hi,

    I also have this problem.

I have had a Fluvel Edge aquarium now for the past year and have had several tradegies in that time. From what I can tell it is mostly unrelated disease related (although I could be wrong). A couple of fish had Ich (White Spot) disease and it didn’t spread.

That said, my fish tank heater, the Fluvel Edge 25w heater doesn’t seem to maintain the water temperature at 26 degrees. Frequently drops to around 15-18 degrees.

Question: Should I buy a heater with larger, say 100w/200w etc to try and regulate the water temperature quicker?

FYI, my fish are mostly communal fish i.e. guppies, golden mollies, glass bloodfin. I did have some Neon Tetras, and a Siamese Fighting Fish but they only last 2-3 weeks

    Thanks
